Applicants are required to submit a brief video of no more than 90 seconds. Your video should not be professionally produced – a video created on a smartphone is expected.
Your video must adhere to the following guidelines, or else it will render your application ineligible:
- No more than 90 seconds in length;
- Must be in English or, if in another language, subtitled in English;
- Should not include images of identifiable children;
- Should not include copyrighted material (including, but not limited to, music) for which you do not have a license;
- Your video’s privacy settings should be set to “Unlisted” (not private).
The following are instructions for recording and uploading your video on YouTube:
- Record a video using your smartphone’s camera app.
- Download and open the YouTube app.
- Sign-in or create an account on YouTube.
- In YouTube, select Create > Upload a Video.
- Select your video and press Next.
- Title your video: Bellagio Center Residency – [your first and last name]
- Set your video’s visibility to Unlisted, which will allow only those with the URL link to view your video (do not set to private or public).
- Check to make sure embedding is turned on.
- Select Upload Video.
- Once your video is uploaded, copy the full URL from the URL address bar and paste into your application in the space provided.
After the selection process concludes and you have been notified of your application status, we recommend deleting your video or changing the video setting to private.
